Since 1990, he has been active as an independent art critic and is known as the 'Godfather of Chinese Contemporary Art'.

Born in 1975 in Liaocheng, Shandong, and currently residing in Beijing, Fei Sun is an independent artist. He studied calligraphy from a young age and later apprenticed under Mr. Zhang Delin, deeply researching Chinese classical poetry and literature. As the pioneer of "Ash Calligraphy," he blends incense ash into ink, infusing Zen philosophy into his brushwork. His works reveal an ethereal quality within their archaic simplicity, demonstrating a unique Zen state that is inwardly quiet yet outwardly magnificent.
